Armrests have to be at the right height for your body, if they are too high it will force you to position your arms awkwardly. You should not have to lean back to feel it, nor should it force you farther forward when you are sitting. Your back rest angle should allow, however, to move forward and backward with added pressure while still providing you with lumbar/back support. Usually, underneath your chair there is a knob that allows you to adjust the backrest to the amount of pressure you want. After finding that perfect spot make sure to lock your backrest angle to ensure it stays in place. Usually by pulling the lever up you can unlock the back angle and pushing down locks it into place.

It is important to remember that not all chairs are built the same, meaning that some levers and knobs may be in different places or may be used differently depending on the chair. I need more bass in my subwoofer..The crossover didn,t work?

I got a 700 watt amp...I also have a crossover to help control the bass in the sub...It has a knob that I was gonna put in my center console to adjust the bass...My amp has croossover and pretty much all the adjustments as the crossover...But I dont have the luxery of having the adjustable knob in my center console...The amp and crossover would not work together..So I unplugegd the crossover and ran the amp only..It works now...Can I purchase a unit with the knob to adjust the base?

Are you using the same head unit that came with the car?
If so then look at getting an after-market one (best buy has some good ones that come with a pretty sweet warranty). An after-market head unit will be much easier at adjusting the bass. DO NOT use an adjustable knob that can be wired onto your dash IT WILL break and besides it just doesn't work as well compared to a new head unit.
I would also recommend un-bridging or re-bridging the amp - see which one sounds better because it varies by sound system.
