Here are some more information for Ate Rotors:

Porsche ranks among the most valuable automobile brands in the world. A Porsche car easily catches the attention of everybody. Porsche brakes from the factory are pretty darn good. They are designed only for power that it was originally given to the public. Porsche Brakes have set the standard by which all other manufacturers have been compared since 1964 when they started installing ATE disc brakes on the 356C. The brakes are the most important part of Porsche car, so don't neglect the brake system while making other performance upgrades. The problems you can run into at the track with a stock Porsche braking system can be anticipated in advance and, for the most part, addressed. You can enhance your braking capabilities at the track by upgrading the brakes of your car. Periodical servicing and maintenance of the brakes helps it to give the best performance without any problem.
Brake upgrades are essential for decreased stopping distance and greater control in these cars. Brake improvements consist of upgrading 5 major items: Calipers, Rotors, Pads, Fluid, and Cooling. Brake Performance increases from the various upgrades is dependent upon rotor diameter, thickness, caliper piston size, and brake pad area. A major part of any brake upgrade is using the proper brake fluid and additional cooling for the rotors and calipers.
The brake pads are the best place to start your brake upgrade. The pads have to be changed quite often (every 20-40 km), so the upgrade from normal to high performance pads is relatively low, especially when the old pads need to be changed anyway. Having brake pads changed is an important money-saving maintenance tip. Brake pads are relatively inexpensive, but if you let the brakes bind it will be a costly repair. When upgrading your brakes, there are a fair number of choices of calipers which can be used, ranging from Porsche calipers (from 930's, 944's, 928's, C2/4's, 993tt, etc) to non-Porsche calipers, i.e., Wilwoods and others. Brake fluid should be checked routinely to ensure both its level and condition. If the reservoir is low, add brake fluid to fill up the system. Note the color of the fluid in the reservoir. It should be clear. If it is cloudy, then it has absorbed moisture and may be dirty. In that case you must flush the braking system--a procedure that replaces the brake fluid. Make sure to follow vehicle manufacturer's recommendations when adding or changing brake fluid.
Taking care of your car maintenance can be very rewarding if done properly. From minor cosmetic repairs to major mechanical services all need professional care. Taking your car to a professional mechanic will save you lots of money in the long run. The Quality, Servicing, Maintenance, and or replacement of car parts over a period of time is essential and crucial for the proper running and long life of the car. Good brakes aren't important; they are absolutely critical. That's why Porsche Service Phoenix offers several levels of brake upgrades from simple caliper replacements to full 4-wheel systems incorporating larger rotors and calipers. They provide you high-performance brake pads.
Cars made of many different parts that are interdependent on each other for their function and even a smallest part of your car can create a big problem. BMW Repair Phoenix has the latest standard diagnostic data tools and software. They utilize the latest in computer technology with all data and Mitchell repair and information systems and the latest vehicle computer scanning software.

Ford Freestyle rear rotor?
Does anyone know how to get the rear rotor off of a 2005 ford freestyle? We went to change the pads and found that the rotor is ate up on the back side of just 1 of the rear rotors, but we cant get the thing off. There is some type of a bolt / screw towards the middle of the rotor that looks like it would need a star bit to get it off but all of the ones we have used havent worked. PLEASE HELP
Yes you will need a big star bit to remove but be careful not to strip the star bolt then you are really in trouble I think its a 40 -45 not sure now I just repaired brakes on son van had the same thing , Make sure you use a 38 ratchet and a socket That will fit the star bit and apply pressure to it as you turn the star bolts have lock tight on them , Here is something else to consider you will not need those bolts after you remove them they just are there th hold them on at the factory, hope this helps.

Howdy. Original reviewer here again. To the above poster with the shimmy in his rear wheel... be careful, it's probably the bearings. Mine were replaced under recall.
