Why do the police not stop corvettes with only one plate?

I live in NY state and it is required to have a front and back plate on the vehicles. Why do the people that drive corvettes think that they are special and only have one plate.
I have never saw a cop pull a corvette over.

Well, NY resident ... here are some thoughts...

Pennsylvania is a "one plate state" and it shares a border with NY ... if the one plate on the back of the car is from Pennsylvania ... perfectly LEGAL!

An officer might notice a rear plate in traffic (regardless of make and model of the car) but does he ever see the front end of the same vehicle? If both vehicles are traveling the same speed ... not likely!

Even at an "enforcement checkpoint" the fact that a driver does not have a front plate from a state that requires two plates could be missed!

Corvette driver's might THINK they are special (at least a small percentage of them might) but the cop on the beat knows different! Yes, the police officers on the beat DO make mistakes. No they DO NOT catch every vehicle and traffic violator. Does it matter what make/model car you drive? NO! Does it matter what bumper stickers you have on your vehicle? MAYBE (lose the "COPS SUCK" bumper sticker!).

Actually, if a cop had a choice ... and cared about "high profile" V+T busts ... yanking a vette would be a feat! just keeping UP with a 'vette where the driver wants to avoid you is one heck of a trick!
