• Always navigate towards the article that is least dangerous. For example: wooden fence, bush etc. Try to keep away from harder objects like trees, or lamp-posts.
• Always have a control on handbrakes and keep using it so that the car is under control as it trying to stop.
• Incase the handbrake is broken, then bring down to the lowest gear as this lets the gearbox take even more of the speed. This method is extremely controllable and effective braking than the hand braking.

Have checked fuses. I did find a wire unplugged by the servo but cannot find where it should be connected to?

This happens very frequently. When you replaced the servo you knocked the emergency vacuum dumb out of position. This is easily repairable. Looking underneath the dash, toward the top of the brake pedal, you should see a large vacuum line going into a vacuum switch. This switch should be pushed in to the point that the plunger touches the brake pedal and is closed when the pedal is at rest. It should extend when the brake pedal is depressed.
