When it comes to finding quality aftermarket accessories for your premium-class Mercedes-Benz automobile, product knowledge and understanding is essential.
Unlike muscle cars, popular Japanese tuner cars, (think, "The Fast and The Furious"), or even Porsche's for that matter, whom all enjoy a broad selection of manufacturers producing high-quality and high-performing accessories; your Mercedes-Benz on the other hand, has a limited number of tested and proven manufacturers producing "factory-quality" and above aftermarket accessories.
Don't Fall Victim to Lack of Proper Knowledge and Understanding
At best, your lack of proper knowledge will leave you generally unhappy with your aftermarket accessories. The worse case scenario, (and I've seen this happen all too often either due to unreputable information, or for the sake of cutting corners, or cost), is your aftermarket accessories will not only perform poorly, but cause damage, (extreme in some cases) to an automobile that is already expensive to maintain and service.
So How Do You Do It Right The First Time?
You begin by first knowing what look and objective you have in mind and what accessories on your vehicle will achieve that desired look and objective.
A) Are you looking for mild upgrades that may consist of custom wheels, tires, tinted windows, a better performing sound system and a subtle enhancement to the exterior features of your Mercedes-Benz?
B) Perhaps you want to let your wild side show as well as your passion for extreme performance by fitting your Mercedes with such aggressive components as:
1. a coil-over racing suspension that lowers your car along with other handling improvements.
2. performance exhaust system complete with headers that improve throttle response and torque, while adding a very aggressive but tasteful exhaust sound.
3. a bold, brash and even brazen body-kit with functionality and boy-racer good looks.
4. upgraded intake for improved engine breathing and a performance chip which aggressively re-maps the fuel curve and ignition timing.
5. and a big-brake kit to stop your Mercedes as fast as it goes.
C) Or, quite possibly, you desire a combination of the two, or you have something completely unique in mind?
In The End...
Regardless of where you and your Mercedes fit into the aftermarket accessories spectrum, it's critical that you have more than a vague understanding and knowledge of who is making the best products and why they set the standard.
You'll quickly realize that when you take to time to educate yourself as a consumer and then assemble the correct group of professionals to turn your ideas, dreams and goals into reality, the end result will add value to the invest that is your Mercedes-Benz, as well as immeasurable pleasure and exclusivity to your motoring and ownership experience.

Truck Suspension Lift Kits: Factors You Should Consider
Here are the following factors you have to consider when you purchase suspension lift kits for your truck:
Installation – you can install your own lift kit into your truck since many manufacturers now offer a manual for doing the installation yourself. However, several types of truck suspension lift kits involve complicated installations. These types require welding and cutting in order to some important components can also be added. During such cases you may have to call on your trusted mechanic or request for some knowledgeable friend’s advice concerning the best resolution.
Additional Modifications – if you need to do upgrades on your truck’s lift kits by having taller tires, then you also need to do some part upgrades or tuning on a number of truck components to compensate for it. Your truck’s engine is adjusted according to a specific gear ratio in order to propel the entire vehicle, properly. When you need to add taller tires, your gear ratios also need to be tweaked accordingly since the vehicle’s engine must spin much heavier and larger tires. You may need to consult more experienced individuals/truck owners’ further insight on this matter.
Highway performance – sometimes, having larger and wider tires result to instability of the vehicle on roads or having an uncomfortable and noisy ride when you are driving at high speed. More aggressive off-road tires on vehicles also have a tendency to wear faster when used on the highway. When riding over wet roads, you may also experience not so great traction as you would expect. Make sure that you get the proper direction from an experienced off – road rider before having larger tires on your vehicle since it can be such a gamble.
Weight – your suspension may suffer a lot of strain, particularly if stock suspension since larger tires can be heavier. This is a very common issue in truck lift kits installation. Nonetheless, it can really be just a matter of becoming more accustomed to your vehicle’s performance change.
Legality – realize that suspension lift kits can be a serious change on your truck’s suspension system and as such, they may be violating suspension regulations of your country. Check out first these regulations within your state, province or country so that you can be sure of the legality.
Some useful accessories – before you install a suspension lift kits, you have to examine if other components can become affected by the new height. You may need to do upgrades on some useful accessories like the brake upgrades, drivetrain, differential, replacement parts, shocks, steering linkage, drive shaft length, slip yoke, u-joint angel and brake lines.

I have a 02 ecilpse and i was wondering what was the cheapest aftermarket brake kit available?
front and back stainless steal double piston or higher with powder coated calipers
Okay first of cheap? Brembo and AP both make kits for the 02 eclipse but there around $2500. That also doesn't include the fact that with those kits you would have to buy bigger wheels. The OE brake system on the eclipse is crap, so I feel your pain. The rotors are prone to warping and the brakes are way to weak for that size car. I use the (ATE Premium One Slotted Rotor ) They work pretty well and if you keep the sliding pines on your Caliper greased and don't resurface these rotors you'll be okay.
this is the AP kit
