The Chevy Lumina was a sedan and minivan designed by the popular American Company, General Motors. It was in production from the year 1990 all the way until 2001 when it finally ceased production. What does the map sensor in a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina do?

I went to AutoZone and they said that I have a misfire on cylinder 5 and I need a new map sensor. I need to know how to fix this.

Dave87 is exactly right. However, a map sensor fault will not cause a misfire on a single cylinder, but a misfire can skew your map sensor readings. You most likely have a spark plug, wire, or coil issue. And nothing against AutoZone people, but I wouldn't be listening to such advise.
