i have an 02 mitsubishi eclipse and it needs new rotors and pads im thinking of buys a set of drilled sloted rotors and ceramic brake pads on ebay new for 128 dollars i live in upstate NY should i go with the drilled slotted rotors or the original smooth rotors also i do race my car

The two main questions here are:
A: What kind of racing.
B: How much are you willing to spend on pads.

A: If you do suircut racing, with frequent acceleration and braking, then get drilled + vented rotors. Vents will allow your brake dust to disapate, and holes will remove gas pockets allowing for full pads contact. On the minus side, they'll rust much much quicker.

HOWEVER: If you do inline racing, you should get regular solid rotors. They'll provide better heat disapation. They'll be cheaper, and since NY roads are salter, they wont accumulate mad ammounts of salt.

B: With slotted rotors you will eat your pads at double/tripple the rate. So, be prepared to buy a new set of pads.
