Here are some more information for Ford Bronco:

Ford Bronco motor vehicle defects have been known by many auto product liability attorneys. In 2001, a woman was driving four children to a sleepover in her 1987 Ford Bronco. The children were not wearing their seat belts. When the woman momentarily turned to her backseat passengers, she veered off the country road and flipped and rolled the Bronco. Sadly, a 12-year-old boy was thrown from the SUV and suffered brain damage. As result of his personal injuries, the boy has given up his athletic dreams due to memory problems and other cognitive difficulties. His father worries that his son won't be able to hold a job.
The family filed suit against Ford. Their product liability attorney claimed that the Ford Bronco's high center of gravity contributed to the car crash and as such, Ford is inherently responsible.
Ford has been plagued with a legacy of SUV rollover problems in many of its SUVs. In 1982, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) published a notice that it was considering requiring warning labels and warning information in the owner's manuals of sports utility vehicles. The public's lack of awareness about the proper handling and operation of multipurpose vehicles--SUVs, motivated this motion. It listed a number of vehicles with relatively short wheelbase, a narrow track, high ground clearance, a high center of gravity, stiff suspension system, and four-wheel drive. The Ford Bronco was one of them.
A NHTSA report to Congress documented that the multipurpose vehicle fatality rate in rollover crashes was 196 percent above the average for light trucks and passenger cars combined, and that the higher center of gravity of these defective cars is a contributing factor. In 1990, a study by two researchers entitled, Engineering Parameters Related to Rollover Frequency examined vehicle parameters affecting stability and concluded that reducing the track-width to center-of-gravity height ratio of trucks to that of passenger cars could reduce rollover frequency by as much as 60 percent.
During the trial, a Ford spokeswoman pointed out that the driver admitted that she had turned around to "argue with children in the rear seat" at the time of the car crash. This, she claimed, caused Hale to veer off the road. Ford added that the children in the rear seats were not buckled up as they should have been.
While careful, attendant driving is critically important in avoiding car accidents, casting full blame on the driver for this tragic SUV accident is the one thing giant automakers typically like to do. Automakers also typically cite that accident victims would have sustained fewer personal injuries had they been wearing a seatbelt. While buckling up is always a good idea, it's no substitute for designing a safer vehicle.
A South Carolina jury concluded that Hale was only 45% at fault and held Ford 55% responsible. Ford was ordered to pay $31 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
The family is to be commended for confronting a major automaker like Ford. Their son was seriously and perhaps permanently injured, yet they saw the importance of holding Ford accountable for designing an SUV that was obviously unsafe. Our hope is that these lawsuits, and the many lawsuits we have filed against Ford and other automakers will convince them to improve their vehicles and make them less likely to roll over.
Our sympathies go out to the Hale family for the emotional pain they have endured. We wish Jesse well and hope that he can recover from his injuries.

Nissan Versa Vs Toyota Yaris
Toyota's Scion brand has been a runaway hit for the Japanese automaker ever since being launched in 2003. Designed to appeal to Generation "Y" buyers, the automobiles are preferred, edgy - some people might say hideous - and have given Toyota a crucial toehold with young buyers. GM, Ford, and Chrysler are getting ready to make a response to Scion, but in other ways. GM is planning to import more cars from its Daewoo subsidiary while Ford and Chrysler are anticipated to build all new Scion fighting cars in Mexico, good news for motorists looking for affordable and quality autos. Let's have a look at what's coming down the pike.
For the record, Scion isn't the sole auto made for the Generation Y crowd. Honda's Part and soon to be released Fit subcompact are Scion rivals while the Chevy Cobalt, Dodge Caliper, and Saturn ION are also directed toward youthful drivers. With that having been said, Dodge [Chrysler] and Ford must respond and it would appear that both automakers will be fielding Scion fighters in the next 2 years.
The Dodge Hornet
Lo and behold, Dodge is nearing the finalization of its plans to build the Dodge Hornet. According to industry sources including Edmunds, the Wasp will be based on the VW Polo, a subcompact automobile built by Volkswagen and favored in the EU market. This deal is fantastic as Volkswagen and Mercedes [a DaimlerChrysler division, as is Dodge] compete fiercely, especially in Europe. VW has a plant in Mexico that likely will produce the Wasp as the company has excess capacity and the cost advantage that no American manufacturing plant can offer. For its part, VW gets to sell rebadged versions of the Dodge Caravan minivan.
If based on the Polo, the Wasp is expected to use the Polo's 1.6L engine and be twinned with a VW transmission. Beyond that, look for the automobile to be closer in appearance to the Scion xA design, sport a 5 door hot hatch design, and seat 5 passengers. Now , the xA sells for just over $13,000, so expect the Dodge to challenge at or below the Scion price.
The Ford Bronco
Don't expect Ford to relax and watch from the sidelines as the market trends toward more Scion-like autos. In 2004 a concept Ford Bronco, taking styling cues from the 1966 Bronco truck, made its appearance at auto shows. Now, Ford appears ready to go ahead with the Bronco which will be built in Mexico.
Featuring a boxy design, the Bronco will be similar in design to the xB and to the Wasp and will probably be built on the current Fiesta platform to hold costs down. Indeed, Ford is hoping that a budget Bronco will sell for less than $10,000 as it battles cheap imports expected from China as well as other Generation "Y" vehicles on the market.
Yes, the car wars never end and more battles are certain to ensue. Both Nissan with its Versa and a little Toyota by the name of Yaris will soon be released and competing on the market before the Wasp and Bronco arrive in 2008 as 2009 models.

how do you replace the Throttle positioning sensors on a 88 ford bronco?
I have a 88 Ford bronco with a 351W. I need some tips on how to change out the TP sensor. It seams to be under the carb and hard to get to. Any help or list to step by step instructions would be good.
Thanks
Jayharres
Remove the air intake ductwork that connects the air filter to the intake manifold. The TPS is turned by the same shaft that turns the throttle plate. Once the ductwork is removed, you should see the throttle plate rotate when you manually actuate the accelerator pedal linkage where it connects to the intake manifold. The TPS is close by and has an electrical cable and connector attached to it. You may need a special screwdriver type to remove its screws after you disconnect the electrical connector. Then install the new TPS. Your done.
