Do you need an extended warranty for your truck or are you thinking about buying a new or used truck anytime soon? I do not want to scare you, but there are a large number of options available when it comes to truck warranties. When you buy a new or used truck, the dealer or salesman is going to try and sell you an extended warranty. Before you step foot into the dealership, you should know exactly what type of truck warranty you want and what you should expect to pay.
One thing to keep in mind is that an extended truck warranty is not going to cover everything that could happen to it or go wrong with your truck. You need to know what types of things can be covered by warranty. If you do not know what you need or want, there are a few basics that you will want to have in a truck warranty plan.
One feature to look for is roadside assistance. This will help you out any time your truck breaks down, has a flat tire or you lock yourself out of the truck. The warranty company will send out a repair person, towing service or locksmith to help you out and you should not have to pay any out of pocket expense for it. You should look for roadside assistance programs that have toll-free customer support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Anything less than that is unacceptable.
Another feature to look for is bumper-to-bumper coverage. With bumper-to-bumper coverage, any component that breaks or fails to work property should be repaired or replaced at the warranty company's expense. This will not cover routine, wear-and-tear things like oil changes, tire replacement and so on and it will not cover damages from automobile accidents (that's what your insurance is for).
Do your homework before purchasing a truck warranty and you will be happy with the results and you will be confident that you are not overpaying for the services. Use the Internet to research different companies and get quotes from several before you step foot into the truck dealership. Then when the dealer tries to push their warranty coverage on you, you will know if it's a good deal or not. If it's not, don't be afraid to use an alternative service (like one of the ones you got quotes from online). You do not have to purchase a warranty from the dealership. You have options. It's your choice.

Get Maximum Protection With Ford Truck Bumpers
A Ford truck is one of the safest and most reliable vehicles a driver could ever have. As it endures all kinds of roads and the harshest weather conditions without sacrificing its performance, the Ford truck is prone to wear. There are various ways through which an owner can protect his Ford truck while making it look more appealing. One of those is taking a pick among the range of Ford truck bumpers.
Made of steel, aluminum, rubber, or plastic, Ford truck bumpers can be mounted on the front and rear end of the vehicle. In the unfortunate circumstance that a low-speed collision occurs, this protective component reduces the shock and prevents severe damage to the Ford chassis. A number of bumper types use brackets that act as energy absorbers while some use a cushioning foam material. Contrary to what some people might think, bumpers are actually not primarily made for the protection of passengers; seatbelts and airbags are installed for that. Ford truck bumpers are designed basically to shield the hood, trunk, grille, engine, cooling system, headlamps, and tail lights from being absolutely wrecked when low-impact collisions happen.
For safety reasons, the installation of bumpers is a legal requirement in many places. To ensure that smaller vehicles will not slide under larger ones like semi-trailer trucks, this policy sometimes also require a specified mounting height for the bumper. Among the variety of Ford truck bumpers, the front and rear end types are the most common.
Skillfully designed bumpers can make a vehicle look particularly sporty and elegant. Steel and chrome bumper creations were most popular in the 1950s, where being bigger and shinier than the competition was everything. In the 1990s, however, looking good became a smaller part of the job. Bumpers not only have to be attractive and. In general, they must absorb 5-miles per hour impacts to leave the chassis without damage. With Ford truck bumpers, car owners not only protect their cars but also save on potential repair costs.

How do I tell what kind of engine is in my ford truck?
Its a 1973 Ford F-100. A guy told me that I had a 360 in the truck but I am wanting to put a new engine in the truck but I dont know if its a big block or small block. How can I tell what size the motor and how do i see if its a big block or small block?
the a 360 is a big block, and differs from the small block 302 and 351 by the manifold, the 360 intake manifold is huge and goes under the valve cover to form part of the head as on all FE series engines,
when referring to a partial engine as when buying, long block is with heads and short block is without heads..
Ford big blocks are 385 series along with the older FE, The small blocks are Windsors with Cleveland somewhere inbetween..
