Here are some more information for Gto Lemans:

Ever since its founding in 1889, Dunlop Tires has been ahead of its time in creating superior high quality tires and offering a greater experience for motorists and passengers alike. Having a tradition of designing ultra high-performance tires for motorsports, Dunlop Tires has found a method to incorporate identical accurate design and cutting-edge technology to the development of exceptional tires for the daily motorist. Dunlop Tires remains to place this same level of care and craftsmanship into all of its passenger car, truck, and SUV tires. As unprecedented innovative designs are continually presented, Dunlop Tires is positioned for much more growth and success in the future.
In order to decrease the inconvenience of the inevitable flat tire, Dunlop continues to be developing run-flat tire technology since the early 1970s. Dunlop''s earlier DENOVO run-flat tires were accompanied by their Denloc ultra high performance run-flat tires which were utilized as original equipment on the Porsche 959 Group B supercar having a 200 mph top speed. Furthermore, Dunlop racing tires integrating the Denloc design were utilised by IMSA GTP and FIA Group C Class racing cars for North American as well as international endurance racing events such as the 24 Hours of Daytona and 24 hrs of LeMans. The disadvantage of these earlier systems was that they required the use of unique wheels which significantly increased the cost of installing a run-flat system.
More recently in Europe, Dunlop has sold ultra high performance tires that integrate a new run-flat technology that is made to be mounted on present original equipment and aftermarket wheels. This run-flat technology is being introduced in the united states by integrating it into Dunlop''s Top "HydroMax" performance tire, the SP Sport 9000. This new run-flat tire line presently offers five sizes and has been given its name the SP Sport 9000 DSST, with the DSST suffix identifying that it utilizes Dunlop Self-Supporting Technology.
Built to continue running for up to 50 miles at speeds up to 55 mph despite preserving air pressure losses which would make standard tires useless, SP Sport 9000 DSST tires enable drivers the convenience of being able to better select when and where they'll have their tire repaired. For example, when driven straight down the road or on the highway, SP Sport 9000 DSST tires are so good at masking the standard loss-of-air symptoms which go with a flat tire, that they require a tire pressure monitoring system to warn the driver that they have lost air pressure.

Porsche Accessories For Better Performance
Porsche cars are known for their classy appearance, style, and uniqueness. All Porsche models are individually designed to suit its specific structure, type of body, appearance. Hence, all accessories and parts belonging to each car is designed for that model respectively. This often results in Porsche parts of one model not fitting into others. Most commonly, the wheels of a Porsche model do not fit at all into another models place. Furthermore the type of wheel used in that model, whether it is a zehn ,florio, lemans, tourismo or a mulsanne decides how the customizations have been performed.
The Porsche consists primarily of five models. These are the 911, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne and lastly the Panamera. All these models have their specific set of parts namely brakes, body kit, engine part, exhaust, headlight, intake, interior, spoiler, suspension, taillight, and wheels. These main Porsche parts may further be classified into sub types or subparts. As an example, the headlight of a Porsche model can be divided into high beam H7 headlight bulb or the chrome headlight projector. All these customizations are done specific to the requirement of the car. The body kit of a car may have a look front bumper or a slant nose, a badge emblem or a GT3 bumper that suits the cars requirement.
Every car in order to fill its owner's aspirations and demands must be provided with a good engine. The Porsche engines are fitted with items like power performance chip, O2 sensor control to improve its capability. One of the main features of Porsche parts that separate each car from the other is the bumpers and the spoilers. It consists of the GTO sports wing, GTX turbo spoiler lip, S spoiler decal/wing or the German tuner style. Each of these provides the cars their special look and ambience. The interior Porsche parts as well as the design too have an overwhelming affect on the Porsche peers. These come in the styles ALUM Biege, Black, Gray, wood olive and others. Similarly, the intake, exhaust, suspension, and remaining major Porsche parts are equally important for the car and have their specific sub accessories respective to the models.

1966 1967 gto handling?
i am thinking about buying a 66 or 67 gto/ lemans project . i saw a article on wikipedia saying tht these cars were very slow at turning at to me tht seems like a big inconvenience. is this true? how is the steering compared to other cars? are there any modern ways i could improve the handling and steering of this car and if so how much of i difference would it make? my second option is for a 66 67 chevelle. if you have owned one of these cars or have driven, or modified one like i have been asking please tell me about it. thnx
Ecoli, in the 60's a man named John Delorean( owner of the Delorean Car co) was instrumental in developing the "Wide Track pontiac" starting in 1964. The "64" and "65" had a shorter wheelbase but a wider stance which meant better handling, but with the "66" and '67' he lengthened them and added more hp as well as stiffer springs and sway bars and along with the Bonnieville( fastest zero-60 production car made was the 1966 Bonneville 2+2, 421 eng. 4 spd and 4:56 rearend came in at 3.9 sec. Hot Rod Mag. 35th anniversary Ed. ) . Neoprene bushings for the sway bars and drag links along with aftermarket springs and 4 wheel disc brakes and radial tires made all these cars handle better and stop better made for better handling along with 14;1 steering gears in the steering gear box helped but compared to later cars (1970 and up to 1981), and the European sports cars like the Triumph, and the Fiat of that age. And when all car co. went to Mac Pherson front suspensions these old cars steered like a log wagon and were as hard to stop as a freight train , no matter what ya did to them. Even the Corvette of that era wasn't all that great. Not until Shelby Carroll did wha he did with the Cobras was handling put in the American Muscle. See back then it was "Straight Line performance" and the big new Super Speedways of Nascar and not so much a road race or slalom. Interstate highways were being poured and 'Cruisers were what Detroit was pouring out and 11-15 mpg was an economy ride. The model vehicles you mention have beautiful lines and design but handling and stopping cannot even come close to the last 30 yrs of suspension developments
Many auto enthusiasts fondly remember muscle car era
Last month, this column asked, “What ever happened to the Love Affair with the automobile?” The next day an ardent reader reflected, “Today’s automobiles have no punch – they all look alike, especially the imports, just boxes.” Is that the reason customers are not flocking to the showrooms? Muscle cars were a part of the Love Affair. Today, a review of the muscle car era may rekindle strong ...
