Chevrolet Malibu Fog Light?

Okay so i have called the Chevy dealer and they said for my 2005 Malibu to have fog lights i have to
1. Buy the fog lights from them 75$ a piece but found on ebay for 25$ a piece so thats no big deal
2. They said i have to buy a wiring harness 300$S!!!!!!!!!
and i cannot find a "fog light" harness so is a wiring harness universal for anything as long as its for a Malibu??
If its going to cost this much to get them i can do without because i dont want the aftermkt ones they look tacky and there is no spot for them on my bumper
I dont know why Chevy is so complicated!! Nissans are already wired for fog lights all you have to do is buy the lights and a factory switch!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to say David this is just the way it works when you add a factory option on the newer Chevrolet's.The factory a long time ago put wiring for options in place till they found out they could save big bucks and not do this.It all comes down to unnecessary cost they dont want to tack on there cars and trucks.Best of luck.
