Here are some more information for Honda Prelude:

The DC Sports short shifter is precision machined from lightweight 6061 T-6 billet aluminum which makes it lightweight and strong. The package also included all necessary hardware for installation plus some other goodies from DC Sports. These include some stickers, and extra tools. The DC Sports short shifter was available to us for around $70-$80 USD. This short shifter reduces shift throws up to 30%. We installed our shifter on a 1998 Honda prelude. The installation of this product was quite simple. Getting this product professionally installed is not needed. Anyone with any experience in auto parts and accessories can install the short shifter.
Installation of the product was simple because the product comes with detailed instructions on installing it. It took me about 20-30 minutes to install the DC Sports short shifter. The shifter went in with no problems and was one of the easiest installs I've done. After installing it we took the car for a test drive to see the performance of the upgrade. I strongly noticed a difference in shift times. With the DC Sports short shifter installed the shift knob sits about 1-2 inches lower which makes for easier shifting. It also reduces the shift of about an inch for faster shifting into gears.
Overall, its is a cheap auto parts and accessories product with high performance potential. It was also a relief to find a detailed instruction manual, the allen wrench needed to install, and some DC Sports stickers. Being a DC Sports product, we know this product will last a lifetime.

Honda prelude?
I'm interested in buying a used honda prelude. I'm really confused about the difference between each year and models. Anyone could help me out? Also, I've been told preludes are eavily beaten, do you guys have any tips on how to see if a car has been beaten? thanks
Hondas are good choices as they are japanese and so are notoriously reliable and plus they're pretty quick; the vtec ones can do 0-60 in 6.7 secs.
Here is a great page with information on all the different preludes; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Prelude
1993 Honda Prelude SR from North America - Comments
The Toyota Celica I had before was of, by far, better build quality than the Prelude. The Prelude has better acceleration than the Celica, but that's really it. Noisy valvtrain and harsh shifting transmission is where this car really lacks refinement.
