My brakes on my 94 geo prizm squeal and sometimes the brake pedal vibrates when i'm at a light....it goes from a soft vibration to a much more fierce vibration......Its an automatic and if i shift to neutral and back to drive it stops vibrating((most of the time)).....and it seems to happen more frequent every couple of days....Do i need new pads and possibly rotors?

There should be no vibrating in the brakes while sitting still. A warped rotor will make vibration and wobbling while coming to a stop. It should make no difference which gear or neutral. Fron your story, it sounds like your engine is shaking and you feel it through the brake pedal. How about the steering wheel- does that vibrate too? I suspect, if engine shaking is brought on when the brakes are applied, there may be a leak in the power brake booster or its vacuum line. Brake squeal can be caused by worn out brakes or looseness between the pad and brake caliper. You'll have to have the brakes looked at to tell their condition. squealing doesn't necessarily mean they're worn out, but it can be that and the wear sensor reed is telling you by screeching.
