how do you turn on and off high beams in 00 passat gls?

during the night i always have my high beams when not needed. i know this probably annoys ppl in front of me along with their eyes.some1 help. the lights are controlled by a round turning knob on the left under the ac vent. thanks whoever helps me w/ this first successfully will get best answer!

you can use the indicator stalk. if you pull it towards you it operates the flash and if you push it away from you it will click and permanently switch on high beam. just pull it towards you and it will click off. Failing that you can use the headlight adjustment which is under the vent. set it to "3" which gives you the most dip. but try the above first as it much less grief and more courteous to the other road users.
