Here are some more information for Pressure Check:

Water pressure is the strength of the flow of water traveling through a homes water pipe. The more water that is pushed through a pipe, the greater the pressure. Anyone who has had the trouble of low pressure knows how frustrating the experience can be. Low pressure can result in poor toilet flushing, terrible showers, inability to wash clothing, and poor rinsing of the dishes. Fortunately, for those who have low pressure, there are things you can do to increase the pressure. Listed below are a number of tips to increase the pressure in a home.
1. The first thing you should do is find out what is causing the water pressure problem. Check to see if it is a plumbing problem. Check the pipes for any leaks or obstructions. If you find a problem that requires expertise in plumbing repairs, you should enlist the services of a professional plumber.
2. If low water pressure is only taking place in one spot such as the sink or toilet, you can take steps to resolve the problem. For instance, the plumbing system may have a clog which may require plunging. A kitchen water pipe may also be clogged which may require plunging or a drain cleaner. As well, the aerator on the end of the sink faucet may have sediment accumulation so it may have to removed and cleaned. Inside the faucet head you will find a small screen called the aerator. Once you have cleaned and reinserted it, test the water flow. For a shower, it may just mean the shower head needs to be cleaned or replaced to increase the water pressure.
3. Another method to increase the water strength throughout the home is to use a device called a water pressure booster system. It is basically another water pump that is designed to help the original water pump increase the velocity coming into the home. This pump will be positioned near where the water line enters your home, then fills with water, and then fills partially with air to maintain level pressure in the water pipe.
4. To check the pressure, you can check the gauge on the water pump when the pump is running. It should be registering at around 35 psi. If the psi is low, you can increase the pressure by recalibrating the water pump. As well, you can install a pressure tank and check valve to help raise and maintain water pressure.
5. One way to get rid of sentiment build up throughout the water line is to check the valve at the front of the home which is normally located where the water pipe enters the home. You should see a valve that looks like a wagon wheel on the water line that goes into the home. Turn this valve a half turn clockwise to partially close it, and then turn it all the way counterclockwise to open it up to allow water to run through it. The rush of water should loosen and remove accumulated sediment which will restore water flow allowing the pressure to increase. It is important to note that you may or may not have this pressure reducing valve. As well, you can leave sink faucet open, and quickly rotate the wagon wheel valve open and closed several times to help loosen and push through accumulated sentiment.
Low pressure can be annoying for every member of the family. Raising the water pressure in the pipes does not have to be a difficult task if you do your research to find out the steps involved with increasing water pressure. If you are still having problems after attempting to increase the pressure, you should contact a professional plumber.

High Blood Pressure Sneaks Up Unnoticed
High blood pressure, or hypertension indicates a reading of 140/90 mmHg or higher. Nearly one out of every three American adults has high blood pressure. Once it develops, it all too often lasts a lifetime.
High blood pressure is often referred to as the silent killer because it usually has no symptoms. It is, therefore, very important to have a regular medical check-up. When it is not treated as soon as it's discovered, it can cause the heart to enlarge, which in turn may lead to heart failure. The heart works harder, your arteries take a beating, and your chances of a stroke, heart attack, and/or kidney problems increase considerably.
Your pressure is at its highest when the heart beats, pumping the blood. When the heart is at rest, between beats, your blood pressure falls. When the level stays high consistently for more than three checkups, you are likely to have hypertension.
Many factors are involved in elevating your blood pressure. It is, therefore, highly recommended not to use caffeine, alcohol, or tobacco products at least thirty minutes before your medical. As well, go to the bathroom and rest for three to five minutes before the procedure.
Most doctors will check your blood pressure several times on different days to ensure that, in fact you do have hypertension. Once you know you have the condition, you will need to check the pressure regularly and keep in touch with your family doctor. Talk to your doctor about what is considered high blood pressure for you.
What is high for the majority of people may or may not be so for you. As there are many causes that may show high readings, ranging from nervousness, tension, obesity, heavy alcohol use, family history of high blood pressure, high salt intake, and aging.
Some people will actually show high readings every time they're in a doctor's office whereas, if done at home, or they are in a relaxed frame of mind, the results will be normal. Even routine activities, such as attending a meeting, commuting to work, and exposure to cold can bump up your blood pressure into the high zone
A sedentary lifestyle, stress, low potassium intake, low calcium intake, and resistance to insulin are factors that may cause your blood pressure to rise. Constant headaches, visual disturbances, nausea, and vomiting can be an indication of hypertension and should be checked carefully.
Usually you will not feel any warning signs or symptoms, though. That's why getting your blood pressure checked regularly is of utmost importance to your health. In most cases, a doctor may not be able to pinpoint the exact cause.
Lifestyle issues that are in your control to lower your risk of developing hypertension include obesity, inactivity, lack of regular exercise, alcohol consumption of three drinks a day or more, a diet of salty or processed foods, and a lack of calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
Risk factors you can't control include a family history of high blood pressure, your race (being African-American increases your risk), and aging.
A few simple adjustments in your habits can help keep your blood pressure in the normal zone, or even bring a slightly high reading back to normal. Eating less salt, losing a few pounds, drinking less, and reducing your intake of processed foods can make a difference in your overall health. Find out all you can take control over. Here's to your health!

How can I check my oil pressure?
I have a '95 F-150 w/ 5.0. My oil pressure gage reads low and occasionally jumps up and down. Is there any way I can check what the actual oil pressure is? I'd like to know if it is faulty gage or a bad pump, without having to take it to a mechanic. It uses a little oil between changes.
those models were know for having weak oil pumps that went bad, if it is jumping between average and high pressure let her ride, but if its reading real low like no oil pressure at all then max, better have her looked at.
