Its threaded in it will kinda look almost like a sparkplug with a set of wires leading away from it.
They make a special tool that is a socket with a "window" for the wires to hang out of while you unscrew it. or you can use a vice grip
you can cut the wires off the old one and use a standard socket also
this may make it easier to get the old one out
