My mechanic gave me a parts and labor estimate of $780.00, but lowered it to just under $500.00 after I said this was a little high. They quoted me $274.00 just for the parts alone -- drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders.

I found these parts online, not OEM, but made by Centric and PBR, in the $150.00 to $200.00 range.

What is the average repair estimate (if any) to have these parts replaced, and how long does it usually take to replace them? I would appreciate this or any other advice you can give me. Thanks.
