Most people start walking through their neighborhood and will soon be looking for different places to stretch their legs. While you’re walking, greet the neighbors, look around at the scenery, this will make walking more enjoyable and pass the time. If your neighborhood has a culs-de-sac, go ahead and walk to the end around the circle and back out. We are walking for distance and exercise not for taking short cuts. Remember that walking can be done just about anywhere. The meditation factor that comes with walking will help settle the mind and lower your stress level.
If you find walking to be lonely, try walking with others or find a walking club. Try joining a group walk for charitable organizations fundraiser. They can be a great social for the whole family. Walking Clubs can plan trips to the mountains, the beach or local and state parks. Try a walking trip to a historical site to see the beautifully manicured landscape.
When walking becomes strenuous or laborious the fun can disappear. Keep your walks fun by changing the scenery, getting a pair of new walking shoes or buy a pedometer. Get you friends and family involved. A nice way to enjoy your walk would be to have your children active by them riding bicycles along with you. Many games can be played while walking, like the first person to see four Volkswagen Beetles or maybe four corvettes. You should always remember that walking should be fun.
The only real equipment is a comfortable pair of shoes. After you get in shape and really start seeing improvement treat yourself to a new outfit to show off the healthier you. Another fun item to have is a pedometer to track your steps and mileage. This will build your self esteem. You will be surprised at how fast the steps will add up.
The health benefits of a regiment of regular brisk walks are numerous. Walking increases the cardiovascular system as well as reducing body fat. It will also help keep the weight off. It will help build your immune system and endurance, so you can spend more time playing with the kids or the dog. Research shows that more frequent short workouts equal the same benefits as longer less frequent walks. This proves that walking can fit into your schedule.

If you had a wish for free...?
to be as footballer for one day in one match...in which match do you want take part??
you can jump back in the time...
I realy would like to be a player in the German team in the World Cup Final 1954 Germany vs Hungary.
I would weare there the fist Adidas shoes ever
these shoes were special created for the German team there by Adolf Dassler...he was unknown there...the success of the German team in the rainy match was the start of the carriere for ADI DASsler as sport brand.
and because I love those years there I created proudly a video about the Final 1954...
that is very very oldschool B-)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1aENxmksI4
the fanmile 54 with Volkswagen Beetle cabrioles for the players...awesome
and the original radio comment by the 3:2 goal...thats cult.
wow you made the video?
thats incredible
seven matches I want to play in
* 1950 World Cup final
Uruguay 2-1 Brazil
wished I was Juan Schiaffino, to have scored the goal that silenced 200,000 people
* 1954 World Cup final
West Germany 3-2 Hungary
wished I was Helmut Rahn... beating a side who had beaten you 8-3 just 2 weeks before is just magnificent
* 1986 World Cup quarter
Argentina 2-1 England
wished I was the Argentine guy who gave Maradona assists to his two super-historic goals
* 1999 ChampsLg final
Man United 2-1 Bayern
wished I was Beckham, to send in the corners from which Sheringham and Solskjaer scored
(sorry if you were a Bayern fan)
* 2000 European Cup final
France 2-1 Italy
wished I was Wiltord, scoring the very last-minute equaliser
* 2001 World Cup qualifier
England 5-1 Germany
wished I was Owen
(sorry again, I know this match brings back bad memories for Germans)
* 2005 ChampsLg final
Liverpool 3-3 (3-2) Milan
wished I was Gerrard, he started the comeback and was simply leading by example
