Sleep deprivation also influences important glands like your adrenals. The adrenals produce cortisol, one of the hormones known to regulate blood sugar. It also affects blood pressure and mood. Imagine that - lack of sleep can make you moody. Know you know why.
These are just a couple of ways sleep can affect your weight and your overall health. So how can you make sure to get enough? Try sleeping on these tips:
Get on schedule: a regular routine helps "set" your body's internal clock. You'll sleep better by going to bed a set time every night and getting up at the same time every morning. By the way, "sleeping in" has been shown to increase fatigue in many cases. Avoid that also.
Ban cat naps: napping can confuse your internal clock and you may find you're not sleepy at bed time. Your best bet is to avoid napping.
Avoid Bedtime Meals: your body may not get the rest it needs if it has a lot to digest. On the other hand you don't want hunger pangs to keep you awake. If you must snack, make it light and healthful. A banana can be a good choice as it contains tryptophan. Your body uses tryptophan to make serotonin and serotonin can help you relax.
Drink warm milk: no kidding. Warm milk provides also tryptophan as well as melatonin, another substance that can help you sleep. If you can handle a small amount of caffeine, you could add a bit of cocoa or chocolate for flavor. Avoid drinking too much of anything (what goes in must come out) and stay away from highly caffeinated beverages like caffeine and tea. Watch that soda too.
Create a sleep haven: reserve your bedroom for sleeping and avoid putting in an office or entertainment center. These tend to stimulate rather than relax.
Get comfy: spring for a decent mattress. You could be having trouble sleeping because it's hard to get comfortable.
Luxuriate in good sheets: it sounds a little much but good sheets are a pleasure to crawl into and snuggle up in. It's hard NOT to sleep once you've invested in as much comfort as you can reasonably afford.
Create an atmosphere: draw the curtains, dim lights. Too much light makes your body think it's time to get up. this is particularly important if you need to sleep in daylight hours.
Drown out noisy neighbors: use white noise to cover up noises that may keep you awake. This could be anything from a fan to a "white noise" cd to a white noise generator.
Wear yourself out: exercising helps you here too. Even if you feel ready to fall asleep standing up - you still may have trouble sleeping if your body is not tired.
While you can't "sleep yourself slim", getting enough down time is an important tool to help you maintain a healthy weight. A good night's rest helps your body correctly adjust hormone levels. You'll feel better too. As a bonus, the new, well-rested you may see a significant boost in productivity.

traction disabled light came on. I changed all the brake lines including the two lines from the master to the abs, putr in new brake pads front and back and bled system. Brakes work but panel still reads traction disabled and abs light still stays on?
Air in master cylinder? Chances are you need to have the ECM reset. Disconnecting the battery will probably not clear it. Call your local dealer for more info. Caddys are a whole 'nother world when it comes to sensors and electronics.
