Stainless Steel Emblems
Emblems are something that more of us have been including on our vehicles over the past few years. We use these items to customize our vehicle to our own personal tastes etc. They could be a representation of information regarding your vehicle, such as the engine size or they could be a statement you want to make about your vehicle such as ‘classic,’ ‘custom ’or even‘hot rod.’ If however logos or images are more what you are after then there are an array of choice open to you as you could depict your favorite film, a popular one being transformers, or you could show your dedication to a particular religion. The list could go on and on but what the emblem represents is just one important factor, another is the material used to create it.
Many of you will probably be aware of these emblems with a chrome finish but did you know you can also get them in stainless steel? The stainless steel kits that are available to you where emblems are concerned are generally constructed using T304 stainless steel and contain an adhesive that is backed for easy installation to your vehicle. There are a number of stainless steel emblems available for your use, meaning you are able to tailor your vehicle in whatever way you wish. Some of the most popular types of stainless steel emblems are the Iron Cross, Hibiscus Flower, Cherries and the Devil Trucker Girl symbol as well as a Nautical Star. As you have so much choice where these are concerned you are able to personalize your vehicle in whichever way you wish to.
The way in which stainless steel emblems are designed is so that you can stick them anywhere on your vehicle. You are given endless application possibilities where they are concerned. You are free to place them anywhere on your vehicle, this could be on the rear on the vehicle, the front or the side, just peel it and stick it on almost anything, they can be placed on your tailgate, hood, lower rocket panels and glass as well as doors and even your interior. However if you do place it somewhere and then decide you want to move it, this isn’t a problem, I say this because you can easily move them without causing any damage to your vehicle.
Regardless of where you place the stainless steel emblem it is guaranteed not to rust for the entirety that it is present on your vehicle. It is guaranteed against elements of the weather as well as you washing your vehicle.
A great thing about stainless steel emblems are the fact they are relatively inexpensive to purchase but they will look like they have been placed on your vehicle professionally by your car manufacturer. Whichever style and design of emblem you have placed on your vehicle it will stand out and bring that extra added touch to the overall look of your vehicle, just make sure when you are choosing your emblem that you give some thought into the advantages associated with the purchase of a stainless steel emblems.

Have you ever repaired a leaking steel rim on a farm tractor?
I have a farm tractor with 18.4" x 34" steel rear wheel rims. One of the rims has begun to leak around the valve stem area. The tires are liquid filled and utilize rim clamped dualsso the mating surface is quite rusty. I would like to repair the leak without having to remove the wheel, dismounting the tire etc.
I am considering removing the surface rust around the leaking area, from the outside, and applying JB Weld to the area. I think it would be wise to deflate the tire so the pressure would not be forcing the JB Weld out of place. I have also rotated the wheel so the valve stem is at the top position to keep the liquid from contaminating the area.
Anyone ever used JB weld or a similar two part epoxy cold weld product in a similar application?
i hate to say it but u sooner or later are going to have to break down that tire. u can try to fix it with jb weld, or maybe silicone. but it will still come down to fixing that tire.
it is not that big of a job just make sure u have a few friends.
we have 2 machines, a small skidder 16.9 x 20 it has tubes, and 6wd forwarder with 20x25 the front tires are tube-less(at one time they were loaded too) but it has split rims so for us it is just a matter of prying it apart and replacing valve stem and o-ring. i would really need to know more about the rim and i might be able to help you.
