Here are some more information for Steel Tube:

Units used to link up flexible cross linked polyethylene pipes used in diverse plumbing water schemes are called as PEX fittings. Since, PEX tubes have emerged as cost effective and trouble free alternatives to copper and plastic tubes and pipes, so they need similar efficient fittings. Freedom from troubles of corrosion and scaling can be easily achieved through these fittings. An arrangement of PEX fittings with PEX tubing has emerged as a brilliant alternative to traditional methods of water plumbing.
PEX tubes require fewer fittings as they involve less breakages and leakages. As compared to earlier rigid and tough plumbing units, PEX fittings are more flexible and durable units. Since these fittings do not involve soldering, there are no risks of nasty fumes attached with them. Tubing used for plumbing are weaved in reels as it is cost efficient and easy to use because of their reduced weight and warehousing space. In comparison to other types of tubes, PEX tubing involves less shipment cost. Some of the PEX tubing can be directly installed by using fewer fittings. Such fittings are composed of highly durable form of brass and copper so that they can be used for delivering long lasting benefits.
Installation of PEX tubing with these fittings is very easy and simple. It is done by inserting a PEX tube fitting over a pipe or tube and then by pinching a copper ring. Apart from this, there are other simple methods also, which are used for making connections and joints. One of them is done by using stainless steel fittings clamps to obtain maximum durability. Almost all types of PEX fittings are made up of brass and only few are manufactured by using plastic. The PEX tube fittings crafted by brass are covered by an extra layer of coating to make them corrosion and rust resistant.
Basic tools required for a standard crimping method of PEX tubing installation are de-crimping tool, pipe cutter and crimping tool. These tools are used with all kinds of fittings. A de-crimping tool is utilized to eliminate rings made up of copper from other fittings and tubes. The pipe cutter is extensively used to cut the tube to required size before using it for final installation. Main crimping tools used for numerous PEX fittings are available in varied sizes and dimensions.
PEX fittings can be made up of copper, stainless steel, lead or brass but the most efficient one is prepared from brass. As compared to other plastic and metal products, these PEX fittings are cost effective, simple to use and highly flexible that can be used for a break free and corrosion resistant plumbing system.

Features of Aluminum Tubing
Today's escalating costs and expenses have lead to more and more people using cost effective materials for construction and other purposes. One such cost effective metal is aluminum, which is found in abundance on earth.
Aluminum is a metal that is not only strong; it is also malleable, light in weight and a great conductor of both heat and electricity. All these characteristics of aluminum make it the preferred metal for use in aluminum tubing.
It is particularly designers who prefer using aluminum tubings in their designs as these tubings can be bent and designed as per the specifications of their design. There are no limitations to the creativity of the designer as they can design and create as they wish instead of designing based on the available material.
Cost effective production of aluminum tubing
It is through a cost effective extrusion process that aluminum tubing is created. The reason this process is considered to be cost effective is because not much goes to waste during its production. Moreover, the dies used here cost only a few hundred dollars, unlike other dies and casts that cost thousands of dollars.
In addition to this, unlike other dies, the dies used for making aluminum tubing is reusable. This in turn helps save in production costs with less wastage and longer shelf life.
Though there are standard dies used for creating aluminum tubing, the malleable characteristic of aluminum makes it possible to create tubings of various designs following a constant strength to weight proportion.
Aluminum tubings come in various shapes
In fact, it can be said that it is this constant strength to weight feature of aluminum tubing that makes aluminum tubing a better choice when compared to copper and steel tubings. The main disadvantages of using these tubings is that they weigh three times more than aluminum, and are very much less malleable than aluminum.
Aluminum and aluminum tubing can be shaped and bent to any design, without additional expenditure. It is because aluminum tubing works as a heat shield with its heat absorption characteristics, it is used extensively in the automotive and construction fields.
Aluminum tubings are not only cylindrical in shape, but they can also be square in shape. They also tend to differ in their outer and inner diameters, and their alloy type. This is why it is better to consider pressure rating, maximum bend radius and temperature range when choosing aluminum tubing for your individual applications.
Heat treat aluminum tubings for use in high temperatures
If the aluminum tubing is to be used in environments with high temperatures, then it is important to ensure that the tubing is heat treated. This is because though aluminum works well in low temperature, it has to be heat treated to use in high temperatures.
Another reason designer love using aluminum tubing in their work is because they can be easily colored chemically and electronically. This is because aluminum is a metal that naturally lets itself be colored.
And with it being easy to connect aluminum tubing using nuts, bolts and rivets, it is today the most preferred metal and material used in most industries and by many designers.

what's a good way of removing rust building inside a steel tube?
i have a steel tube that i want to use as a curtain holder for my bathroom, i can remove the rust building outside the tube with sand paper. but how do i remove the rust from the tube that's building inside the tube? the tube is like 6 feet long, and 1 inch in diameter.
In my shop I use "The Works" for anything rusty, works all the time but, be careful of the eyes and the lungs, use it in the open then rinse good.
