Imagine yourself driving down the two lane road at 4:30 in the afternoon. Ahead of you is an intersection. The light is green, for the moment, with a long line of cross-traffic waiting for their turn go. It's a scenario we've all seen a million times.
But you know, as you approach a traffic light on a busy street, one of two things will happen. Either the light will be green, allowing you to drive through the intersection without stopping, or the light will be red, forcing you to stop to allow traffic to pass from the other directions.
Most people, hoping to get to their destination quickly and efficiently, prefer green lights, but also understand that an occasional red light is normal, too. But if there are too many red lights, or if they come up too often and stay red too long?
When that happens, even the most patient driver is going to get frustrated.
Now, what does all of this have to do with sales letters? A lot, actually.
In a sales letter, the "red lights" are anything that prevent the easy reading of the next line in the piece. Red lights can be abrupt changes in subject, changes of tone, or even just a switch of writing style.
For example, if I'm talking about all of the benefits you'll receive if you by my new home study course, and suddenly, in the next paragraph, I begin talking about my qualifications as a writer, I've just put up a red light.
You, as the reader, are thinking, "Wait a minute, we were just talking about benefits and now I'm reading about this? What happened?"
Or if I suddenly start talking about some bonus eBook you'll receive, or if a pop-up box appears out of nowhere asking you to subscribe to my newsletter - again, these are red lights that stop the flow of the sales letter.
Here is the key to keep in mind:
If you are going to change subjects - if you are going to put up a red light - just remember that it better be for a great reason. When you are driving, you know other people have to get where they are going, too, so you don't really mind an occasional red light. But, if you don't have a great reason, it's like setting up a stop light in the middle of nowhere. The driver fumes, "Why am I stopping here? No one else is even on the road!"
And this is where the traffic light analogy breaks down. When you are on the road, you have to stop at red lights and wait for the green. You don't really have a choice. But the readers of your sales letter, or visitors to you website, DO have a choice. They can stay and buy your product. Or they can get frustrated and leave.

How The Hybrid Battery System Works To Provide Needed Power
When you look at the history of the automobile industry, hybrids will go down in history as one of the most revolutionary advancements. Due to the increase in greenhouse gases and other negative impacts which gasoline powered vehicles have, hybrids have more and more importance within the world today. When you look at buying a hybrid, you often know you'll be saving money and reducing emissions from your car. Most individuals do not have an idea of how this happens and that is the purpose of this article. This will give a quick overview of how the battery system works with any hybrid car.
When you look at the engine of a hybrid car, there is not one main component but rather two main components which come into play. There is an electrical component to the car as well as a gasoline component to the car. With most hybrid cars, if the car is idling, it is running on electricity. If the car is moving, the gasoline portion of the engine is in use. The car is smart enough to realize when to switch between the gasoline and electrical portions of the motor. If you find yourself at a stoplight, the electrical portion of the motor will be in use and when the light turns green, the gasoline portion of the engine will take over.
The previous paragraph gave a quick overview of how the engine of a hybrid car works. When you look at the design of hybrid cars, there are two basic designs in use today. One involves an electric motor, batteries, and the gasoline engine all being connected to the transmission. Both the electrical portion and the gasoline portion of the engine are able to run the car and push it so that it can move. This is called the parallel hybrid car. The other type of hybrid car comes with the name of the series hybrid car. The gasoline is not connected to the transmission but rather only the electrical portion is connected to the transmission. The gasoline is connected to the electrical generator so that it can charge the battery and power electric motor. Within both these types of vehicles, the batteries are the key. They store the energy for the electric motors. With hybrid cars, electrical motor pool takes energy from the batteries while also continuing to put energy into the batteries. This deleted the need for anyone to have to plug your car in every night to recharge the batteries. This was a common flaw with the early hybrids which has been corrected since then.

Why does my car rattle and vibrate more than a Shakira music video?
My '99 Saturn SL rattles when I'm stopped at a stoplight and vibrates when I accelerate between 70 and 80 mph. It doesn't jolt or jerk around and there's no CEL. Got plenty of oil and it only vibrates when it's at drive--when I'm on park it's smooth running.
Could it be an engine or tranny mount? How much, including labor, would it be to switch out the mounts if I took it to a mechanic? How much time do I have before it becomes a more significant problem?
The rattle comes from under/behind the dash. It's likely something under the hood...
hello:
it could be a coulple of things 1st does your stering wheel shake while you drive if so then it is you wheel balance..2nd shake the tale shaft joints (both ends) if it moves a good inch or two you need to replace them..3rd your harmonic balance check the bottom fan belt wheel to see if it has a wobble or rubber missing if so then replace..4th egine mounts and tans mount might be up to sh*t so jack up the engine and trans and see if the rubbers are correded (depends on car might not be rubber could be metal) if so replace it..5th always good to replace spark plugs and leads regaurdless of a problem...note::becarefull when jacking up the engin and trans as the have sensers and stuff my advise buy a book on you car from supercheap and check where bouts to jack up.....
