1. Perform a Full Virus Scan.

Once you have completed your virus scan, you should then unplug your ethernet (internet) cable. If you're using wireless, shut your wireless off. Unplugging your internet cable is optional, but required for the full cleansing effect. With your ethernet cable unplugged you should then run a Registry Cleaner Software.

2. Registry Cleaner - Software

This will remove any Registry entries that may have accumulated while surfing the internet. Once that has been completed, reboot your computer with the internet cable unplugged, allow a couple of minutes for your computer to completely boot up. Then plug your internet cable back into your computer/laptop.

3. Defrag Your Hard Drive.

Over time your computer, or laptop hard drive becomes fragmented with bits and pieces of the same files, or software programs scattered all over your hard drive, this increases the time it takes for a file to open when accessed. By defraging your drive, your re-locating all those pieces of files and software files into one spot. Minimizing the time it takes for a file or software program to open.

4. Registry Defrag - Software.

Defraging your registry is another key tip to improving your computer/laptop performance, again over time your Registry will become very fragmented, increasing boot up time.

You will need a third party software to complete this task, along with step 2. Some Optimising Software will do both steps, 2 and 4, and will include many other useful utilities.

5. Clean Inside Components - Professional

I recommend having your Computer/Desktop cleaning done by a trained professional. They will open the side cover and use compressed air to blow out any dust that has accumulated inside your computer.

If you have owned your computer for a couple of years now, I suggest having it cleaned. The big issue here is the dust accumulation between the CPU and fan where the heatsink sits. The other issue is with the power supply, over time the dust can obstruct the intake/exhaust of air flow, causing you computer to run hot, overheat and shutdown unexpectedly.

If your computer has not been cleaned in a long time, I suggest turning it off when it is not in use, allowing it to cool off. A computer should be cleaned at least once a year. The recommended is every three 3 months.

it will but you got to remember that the whole setup is different obd1 and obd2 and the mounts need some cutting
