one of my 1991 toyota land cruiser windows work, the rest don't?

The left passenger window works from the drivers controls, but the rest of the windows don't work, either from the drivers controls or the individual controls, not sure where to start, or what to look at. THANKS
also, the one window that works, rolls down fine about half way then gradually slows to a crawl when it is almost down

Since it is a passenger window that operates, it pretty much assures that all the wiring is intact and operational as far as the switching, power supply and ground are concerned. You can still have problems with broken wires in the door hinges on all the doors, but it is unlikely that all three have broken. Try this: Have someone hold down the switch for you, master or door switch, and slap the door panel of any window while the switch is activated. Do it, hard!, with the palm of your hand. If the window starts to operate, the motor was stuck, not an unusual occurrence. The motor will eventually need to be replacled if that is what happens.

If that doesn't help, I would recommend removing a door panel and checking the power and ground to the motor. An inexpensive test light will do the trick...put one lead on one wire to the motor and the other lead to the other. Activate any switch and the light should light, polarity unimportant. If it does, the motor is bad.

If none of that works, it could get very complicated and you might want to take it to a shop.

3/26 The window slowing to a crawl is classic bad window motor. It has enough power to run for a moment, but as soon as it heats at all, it's done. And that kind of supports what I was saying about the rest. Take your frustration out on the others and let us know how it goes!
