The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) is produced by the Institute of Higher Education at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The World's Top-500 universities (2008) are mainly located in Europe (n=210; 40%), the Americas (n=190; 40%) and the Asian/Pacific region (n=100; 20%). There are nine universities located in Spain, representing 2% of the World's Top-500 universities and 4% of the European universities in the ARWU ranking.

The Top-6 universities in Spain are: 1. University of Barcelona (ranked 152-200 in the world); 2. University Autonoma of Madrid (201-302), 2. University Complutense - Madrid; 4. University Autonoma Barcelona (303-401), 4. University Polytechnic Valencia (303-401) and 4. University of Valencia (303-401). This means that the top universities are located in three largest urban centres of Spain (Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia) and the top university is not located in the capital city.

They're worth it if you go during the busy season, like spring and summer. Also depends on if you're there on the weekend or a week day. If you're there when it's really crowded, they are worth it.

And if it's the fast pass I'm thinking of that I used when I was there, you use your park ticket and insert it into the machine at the ride and it gives you a one hour window in which to come back at. For example, it might say between 4pm and 5pm. Then when you go back, you get to go into the separate line for fast passes. This line will get you on the ride in about 10 minutes, depending of course how crowded the park is that day.

It's really worth it for the big rides like Jurassic Park, T2, Spiderman, and the Hulk. When you get to the park in the morning, go to one of the really busy rides and get a fast pass, then hurry over to another big ride and wait in the regular line before it gets too crowded. (You'll need to do this first thing when the park opens.) Then, after a not-too-long wait at the big attraction's regular line, you can then cut to the short line at the first ride you went to get the pass for.
