new car and driving questions?

hi i bought a new car indica vista saffire and i had following question on driving.
1. when i press the clutch and release it it comes out with a slight push (jataka) and is not released smoothly. is this a problem or because this is a new car and needs to time to get the parts to free up.

2. My gears shifts are not smooth, does that effect adversely? how can i practice smooth gear shifts.

3. As i am a new driver, the car engine stops regularly due to wrong gear rations, clutch handling does that affects engine.

1. The slight push you feel is normal, It means the clutch is good and its just from the pressure in the system and in the springs.

2. If when you are shifting gears and you its not smooth and its a new car. It operator error. Have you learned about what speeds you should change at yet? and how high are you rpm's when you push in the clutch and let it out. It should all flow smoothly if you are keeping the rpm's low and not hitting the gas hard.

3. Yes stalling the car will have an effect on the engine. The car is coming to an abrupt stop, and the engine/transmission is taking all of that blow.

My advice to you. Find a friend who is an experienced manual driver, fill up your tank, go to a big parking lot and practice starting and stopping. once you got that down practice smooth shifting. Don't leave till you fell comfortable with the manual and you feel like you can actually handle the car.
